Maternity Insurance Solutions

The maternity program works as follows:

1.   After the Dr. officially diagnosis the member as being pregnant, The Dr's office calls us for maternity pre-cert. We then pull up the member and verify that the Dr. is in the network and re-price the "Global Rate" for maternity which includes -

c All prenatal visits

c One sonogram 

c The Dr's fees for delivery -( EXAMPLE: Dr's normal Global fee $3200, after re-pricing $1850 ) we then suggest that the Dr. divide that amount up by the number of months left before delivery and have the member pay the Dr. equal payments so the Dr. is paid off by the time the baby gets here. 

2.The hospital will have one of four types of rates:

1)  Percentage( gives a % off of total bill)

2)  Per case( one set fee per case)

3)   Per Diem( a flat per day fee) or

4)   Length of stay( a set amount for 1 day and an additional fee every day after). 

In all cases the member must either pre-pay monthly prior to delivery or have a deposit of $1000 per day upon admission to the hospital. All together the savings usually range anywhere from $2000 - $8000.
